My Favorite Quilt from Sisters Quilt Show from Humble Quilts

This should be no surprise that this was a favorite from the Sisters Show!

On another note, I've been a bit MIA on the blogging. Our summer weather has been really incredible. Summer is too short so I must enjoy the outdoors while I can.

Elsa may not be able to hike much but she likes to camp!

A little hike to 9050' on Mount Bachelor in Central Oregon. The three Sisters are in the distance. Their names are Faith, Hope and Charity.

It was a little steep in some areas!

Another friend and I made a hike near ...

Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show 2025 from Humble Quilts

This was the 50th year of the Sisters Outdoor show! Wow! It is still a great show all these years later!!

Here's a glimpse of the teacher's tent display.

By Tonye Phillips. Love the garden girls!

By Sujata Shaw

Sarah Fielke had an emergency at home (Australia) and couldn't leave. I hear they were creative and she was up in the middle of night via Zoom on a big screen to be there for her class. There were teachers that stepped in to teach in person but fun for the students who still got her teaching expertise ...

Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show from Humble Quilts

I always like to go to the Stitchin' Post in Sisters Oregon the week before the big Outdoor Quilt Show. It is the 50th year! More info HERE. The date for the show is July 12.

Here are a few photos from around the shop.

The extent of their reproductions is Laundry Basket Quilts and Max and Louise.

Lots of yarn and patterns for knitting.

Prices at the Stichin' Post were pretty outrageous. They have always been the highest in any store I've been in. I'd love to know what your "regular" priced fabric is at your local ...

Faces by Freddy from Humble Quilts

I don't believe Freddy Moran was at the quilt show this year, (she certainly was last year!)

But these were in the teacher's tent all for sale! I belive they all sold.

These were so incredible (as is Freddy) that I wanted to share them all in one post!

I think this one is my fav!

Freddy made one face quilt a day for 54 days. At the end of the endeavor, she had a whole collection of faces to share. When she reached the 54th day, she decided to keep creating face quilts as long as they ...

Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show from Humble Quilts

The weather was lovely for another Sisters Outdoor Quilt show!

What I noticed this year was a lot of quilts with Kaffe fabric! (more than usual for sure)

In no particular order and unedited.

A beautiful antique quilt for sale.

Very detailed wool applique.

I believe the quilts hanging from the Stitchin' Post were the palatone color of the year.

Employee challenge quilts

This may have been a favorite for me.

A teacher quilt who was also an engineer- having fun with bias!

Cherrywood challenge quilts.

I'm inspired to get sewing........ right after I get back from the mountains ...

Here's a look around!

4 fabric in one!

Edita Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts has some beautiful fabric out!

Lots of samples.

There was a special exhibit of Valerie and Jean Wells work.

Recovered from my trip we made it out to the trails near Sisters for a lovely hike along the creek.

Then we stopped for lunch at the winery. What a beautiful ...

I think this years poster and artwork is really lovely!
Will you be attending the show this year? Always the second Saturday in July! I'll be there bright and early and usually am done about 12 or 1.

I had a meeting in Sisters last week and arrived to the Stitchin' Post in time for them to close! Aargh! I think 4 oclock is a little early.

Never tire of this beautiful view of Faith, Hope and Charity mountains.

I'm off to Peru today! Finally!

Teacher Quilts from Humble Quilts

I'm starting with a few of Sujata's quilts. She is inspirational, humble and such a fun teacher. Her style is freeform and organic. I love that! We haven't seen each other for some time and she had the biggest smile and hug for me. She has a big heart that I love so much.

Sujata's baskets inspired by Gwen Marston.

Heidi Parkes has some interesting quilts. I like them a lot.

Maria Shell's quilts are recognizable. I took a class with her in Houston and do not consider her quilts freeform and ...

Welcome to Sisters Quilt Show! from Humble Quilts

I'm happy to share a few quilts with you from the show on Saturday-mostly the highlights of my day. There are so many modern styles with less and less traditional so that's what I'll be sharing.

Not a quilt but a mural on the side of a bathroom.

This is Linda and her quilt. Please read the tag below. We chatted for some time and she got teary! She had never been to this show and never had a quilt hanging in it. She now lives in AZ. There is something very special about having a quilt ...

I made a little trip to the Stitchin' Post in Sisters the other day.
The quilt show is jsut a few weeks away and I always like to take a quick breeze through the shop to see it nice and stocked up.

As a kid he remembers many times waiting for mom while she was in a quilt shop! lol Now he comes in and browses. He was looking at the books about visible mending. Remember that? No? Check it out HERE

Enjoy the tour through the quilt shop in Sisters, Oregon.

Are any of you coming to the Outdoor ...
